A sparkling evening

Ian and I had the pleasure of respresenting Quite Brazen at the recent Westcountry Wedding Awards where we had been selected as Finalists. It was so wonderful to be chosen to attend as the awards are based purely on client votes and after reading some of the wonderful feedback, we were quite frankly bowled over!
We arrived by limo to the gorgeous Guild Hall, Plymouth at 6pm – huge thanks to westcountry limo's and cars for getting us there in style.
The evening fell near to our 6 year anniversary which was also back when Quite Brazen was formed as a simple acoustic duo so for us it was celebrating all we had become with hard work, dedication and our passion for entertainment and service.
After a picture and a cheeky glass of bubbles on entry we had the chance to chat with other finalists before sitting down to eat a scrumptious meal.
Well done to the students at Plymouth University for putting on such a marvellous evening!
Seated at the now infamous table 4, we had a fantastic time with some wonderful people who provide highly recommended wedding services; The smashing Cornwall based Paul Keppel wedding photographer , the dashing Alan Lomax of F3 Design – who does wonderful bespoke wedding and event stationery, Kate Walker, the gorgous and wonderfully talented winner of the best bridal outfitter category - a bespoke bridalwear designer based in Honiton and of course we cannot forget to mention the fab events team from Eden Project, Cornwall who specialise in making non traditional wedding dreams come true – wedding in a rainforest anyone? The genies of wedding planning, your wish is their command.
A special mention goes out to the delightfully talented 4tissimo string quartet who provided us with some brilliant entertainment throughout the evening. Genuinely lovely people with a clear passion for music, their repertoir was right up my street – who can resist a bit of Guns & Roses or Jimi Hendrix, string quartet style!
Although Quite Brazen were not overall entertainment category winners – we certainly felt like winners - after all, we were the only live wedding band to make it through!
With finalists from every category you can think of, from wedding cars to cakes, photographers, venues and dresses to hairdressers and make-up artists – all recognised for service excellence within the wedding industry. You cannot go wrong when you choose any supplier with a WWA logo. Finalist or winner.
